Very nice design, Matt. Works well, too!

A little trick of the trade - for a smooth professional look on Aluminium parts, de-burr and lightly sand surfaces to remove scratches. Make up a caustic soda solution (start quite weak) and 'pickle' the parts before assembly. Experiment with strength of solution and time in the (plastic) tub for a stunning satin finish.

Be careful of the gas given off as it is EXTREMELY flammable.

Let's see the finished product, now!

Very nice work dude - lovely 2nd video and excellent flying!

Do you have the drawings for the mount or was it something you just built on the fly?

Cheers,

Putting the ROLL back into AlexMos

By using the channel mix feature on my Jr Dsx9 radio. I was able to link the Gimbal Roll to the aileron channel.
I then changed the servo speed setting (for the Gimbal Roll) on my radio to 3.75 seconds to give a nice roll motion.
Now when I move the aileron stick, the gimbal rolls in the same direction too, but with stabilization.
I am able to turn this feature on or off on my radio.
This video has been speed up 200%.

Putting the ROLL back into AlexMos V2

This time I have linked the yaw stick to the roll on the gimbal.
By using the channel mix feature on my Jr Dsx9 radio. I was able to link the Gimbal Roll to the yaw channel.
I then changed the servo speed setting (for the Gimbal Roll) on my radio to 2.5 seconds to give a nice smooth roll motion.
I have also exaggerated the roll movement. The footage can now be speed up, for a fast action effect.
Now when I move the yaw stick, the gimbal rolls in the same direction too, but with stabilization.
I am able to turn this feature on or off on my radio.
