Went down to the river and ran into alot of wind. didn't make for the best vids, but i'm moving right along in my setup. The tracker worked killer. Found the end of my 2.4 spektrum around 2200 feet. hit failsafe 3 times for sure, maybe more. Had one flight that was on a gold mine with real high metal or something, range wouldn't get past 500 feet and would break up, radio felt sluggish. Weird.

I made a movie, but it's a half hour and still uploading, so put together one of my favorites from the weekend by itself. enjoy, this was out to 2000 feet each way

Very nice video. When I was young, I remember diving on a similar channel in Ocean Beach. Were you close to OB with this?

This is at the Colorado river near Walters Camp,,,,, half hour east of Glamis, Half hour south of Blythe, 3 hours from my door.

here's the compilation from the weekend


2:37 was failsafe kickin in, 25:10 is the bird, 32:40 was failsafe kickin in again, no wind that time

usually the only people that see that much of that area that low is the marines. We had the british military out at the proving grounds this week with chinooks, i thought they were some museum things the way they were painted, but later heard one of em went down. Thank god it wasn't near me. This area has been a low flying plane smuggling route for a long, long time. They have blimps tied to the ground with low flying radar all along the colorado

it peaked at 712 watts, 50.8 amps and flew 42,000 mah. the logger keeps shutting off logging the gps coordinates,,,,,,, didn't get the total distance or the max speed logged, but i saw 62 mph down wind one flight, another flight with no wind saw 48mph. Best i can tell it gained 10-12 mph...... but it became a lipo killer. gonna have to up the c ratings on the packs for this thing. It carries 5000 mah like it's not there

other notables, 3:58 was the second lvc crash, 1000mah in it came down like a rock...... all i ever did was swap out 2 props and carried on. Tough little bastard

Nice work kloner..I need to get my *** in gear and get my new 500mm nextlevel frame built..had the arms powder coated (mrs idea) i just cant make my mind up with what to get fpv wise..the more i read up on the immersion gear the more im liking it..whats your auw?? i am waiting for some avroto 2814's and the bigger mounts before i start my build..what flying times you getting?

It is 1630 gram with 4s 3000 35c turnigy...... i'm thinking i need to bump it up to 5000 mah soon. It only flew 7-8 minutes with a few 700 watt high speed passes for like 30 seconds at a time. It's a good time, i'm enjoying it and look forward to getting more comftorable lower. I'm also putting together a 26cc gasser with 900mhz gear
